Mars Foundation Scholars Program FAQ

The Mars Foundation is pleased to announce the availability of a limited number of academic grants available from our Mars Foundation Scholars Program supporting education and research related to Mars Settlement.

  • Masters Thesis grants up to $500.

  • PhD Dissertation grants up to $750.

  • Class Project Support grants up to $1200. for an undergraduate, graduate class or university space club project related to Mars Settlement.

These grants may be used for research related travel, equipment, materials or supplies, or for travel to present research at a conference. These grants may not be applied to salaries, tuition or conference fees.

Presently, Mars Foundation™ grants are only available to US citizens at US educational institutions.

Researchers into any area of Mars Settlement e.g., technical, mission design, architectural, social, cultural, psychological, economic, human factors, etc., may apply for a grant.

We welcome donations to provide additional grants under our Mars Foundation Scholars Program.
